How do I sign up as a barber and create my profile?
  1. Open the app and click Sign up.
  2. Enter your details then tick the I am signing up as a BARBER checkbox then click Sign up.
  3. Verify your email address. A verification email will be sent to your email address.
  4. Log in to the app, go to My iRate and edit your profile.
  5. Create your profile by adding your name, address and phone number.
  6. Add your Specialties simply by tapping on any of the options.
  7. Add your Services by tapping on the + sign to the right of Your services. Some examples of services are Skin Fade, Student Haircut, Haircut & Shave, etc. You can be as creative as you want in the description box. 
  8. To set your schedule, tap on the time of the day (weekdays and weekends).
  9. You’re all set.
How long does it take for iRate Barbers to process my sign up?

We do background checks after barbers sign up and this could take at few days.

Why do I need a Stripe account?

The Stripe Connect Account is required for you to receive payments from your customers automatically.

What are the requirements in setting up a Stripe account?

To set up your Stripe account and get verified (by Stripe), you will need a valid identification (e.g., passport) and a proof of billing with your address (e.g., utility bills). It may take a few days for Stripe to verify your identity (and it’s not within our control).

How do I create my Stripe account?

We’ll send you a unique link for you to sign up and create your own Stripe Connect account. If you already have a Stripe account, you still need to follow the link so you can connect your existing account to the iRate one. Here’s a video guide that you can refer to when creating the Stripe Connect Account: https://youtu.be/31E5pTWNjV8.

How and when do I receive my payments?

You will receive your payments via your bank account that’s connected to your Stripe account. The payout is daily except for the first payment which requires verification and could sometimes take a few days.

How do I activate my account?

After you receive an email from us regarding your onboarding completion, you can go to your profile page and tap the “Inactive” button. If you’ve completed your profile, that button should toggle your status to Active.

What do the status active and inactive mean?

An active status means that you’re ready to accept bookings. App users can see your profile in the barbers list page of the app. Inactive status is the opposite.

Customers

How do I sign up as a customer and create a profile?
  1. Open the app and click Sign up.
  2. Enter your email and password.
  3. Verify your email address. A verification email will be sent to your email address.
  4. Log in to the app, go to My iRate and edit your profile.
  5. Create your profile by adding your name, address and phone number.
How do I book a barber?

Tap on any barber you see in the barbers list, then tap Book Now. Choose the service you want, enter the date and time and tap the Book for..  button.

How do I pay the barber?

When the barber finishes their services and marked the job as completd, a Pay button will appear in your booking screen.

What mode of payment do you accept?

You can use any valid VISA or Mastercard to pay. Our payment system is powered by Stripe and your credit card information will not be saved in our app.
